K. David Quackenbush

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Quackenbush brings extensive experience leading IT services organizations to Gimmal Group and has led organizations with revenues in excess of $100MM. His experience includes leading high-growth companies, building successful solutions and focused services in established companies. Prior to joining Gimmal, Mr. Quackenbush was the President of CPSG, a nationally recognized consulting firm focused on delivering high-quality consulting services within the Identity Management and ERP space. Prior to joining CPSG, Mr. Quackenbush held executive leadership positions with Comsys, Lante Corporation, Luminant Worldwide, Align Solutions and BSG. He began his career with Arthur Young (E&Y). In addition to leading and managing organizations, he has led merger and acquisition activity on both the sell and buy side of IT services companies. He is broadly experienced in the energy industry and has led energy-focused initiatives in the E&P, pipeline, energy services, utility and retail sectors. Mr. Quackenbush co-chairs the Emerging Technology Council of the Houston Technology Center.

Mr. Quackenbush graduated with a BS in Economics from Texas A&M University. He is involved in a variety of community service activities, including Child Advocates Board of Directors, Nottingham Civic Association Board of Directors, and a member of the Memorial Drive Methodist Church Board of Stewards.

Mark Johnson

President

Mr. Johnson is a seasoned enterprise IT leader, having held leadership positions at BMC Software, IBM Corporation, and Dell. Johnson has most recently served as CFO / COO of Personify, a leader in association management software and services for the enterprise member-centric market; Q2, a leading provider of virtual banking solutions to regional and community financial institutions; and SumTotal Systems, a Strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) software company where he helped lead the company’s global expansion.

Mr. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University and a master’s degree from The Ohio State University.

Chris Caplinger

Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Caplinger has been serving the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) industry in the creation, delivery, and support of enterprise content management software since 1995.  Working as a consultant, software engineer and executive at multiple ECM companies, Mr. Caplinger has experience in delivering quality software products to a rapidly growing and changing industry. Prior to joining Gimmal LLC, Mr. Caplinger founded RecordLion and served as the President before being acquired by Gimmal. He also served as the CTO of KnowledgeLake, a company he co-founded, for 13 years, which he helped grow up to its acquisition by Fujitsu, one of the largest technology firms in the world.

Mr. Caplinger holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University. He enjoys working with the community in industry areas, previously serving on the board of the St. Louis Chapter of ARMA International, speaking at conferences and writing about technologies and trends in all types of information and records management. He was also a co-author of “SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise Content Management,” a book to help administrators understand how to manage content in SharePoint through all phases of the information lifecycle.

Brian McLaurin

Chief Revenue Officer

Mr. McLaurin brings more than 20 years of experience leading high performing sales teams in the software industry. From inside sales to CRO, Mr. McLaurin has been successful at every level. Prior to joining Gimmal LLC, he served as a Vice President of Sales for MRI Software. He has also held both direct sales and sales management positions at other notable software companies, including Vertafore and Argus Software.

Mr. McLaurin holds a BSW degree from Texas State University. He credits success throughout his career to his unwavering focus on listening to clients, understanding their needs and making every attempt to present mutually beneficial solutions. This approach has been his gateway to developing new relationships with key industry accounts and generating new opportunities within large, small and mid-market companies.

Brad Teed

Product Evangelist

Mr. Teed is a certified SharePoint Architect and a subject matter expert in the area of Enterprise Content and Records Management. He has over 30 years of experience in the information management and technology field.  For the past 13 years, Mr. Teed has focused on the Microsoft platform for collaboration, content and record management. His work also includes experience with the architecture and implementation of SharePoint within the Enterprise including numerous complimentary technologies within the Microsoft ISV ecosystem.

Prior to Gimmal, Mr. Teed was a principal at a leading ECRM integrator and one of the early engineers at EMC/Documentum. Mr. Teed has a BS degree from the University of South Carolina.

Mike Alsup

Gimmal Founder

Mr. Alsup has been a leader in Enterprise Content Management and Records Management for more than 30 years. He spent his early career with Accenture and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He was a co-founder of two successful Content Management companies, BSG Consulting, and Align Solutions, which went public as Luminant Worldwide. At both of these companies, Mr. Alsup led Content Management teams in the development of solutions for a wide variety of clients.

He is a graduate of Rice University and has an MBA from the University of Texas. He is a past Chair of the AIIM Emerging Technology Advisory Group (EmTAG). He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the AIIM International Board of Directors, as well as the Boards of several community and civic organizations. He was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year winner for 2008.

Art Bellis

Vice President of Sales and Alliances

Mr. Bellis is Vice President of Sales and Alliances at Gimmal. Art brings 20 years of experience developing and marketing governance records solutions on the Microsoft platform. Art is recognized as an industry expert and has been regularly called upon by ARMA and AIIM to speak on issues related to technology and information management. Various academic programs including the University of British Columbia, University of Washington and Vancouver Community College have called on Art to lecture on records management issues and trends. Prior to joining Gimmal, Art was a founder and held various executive level positions with a leading governance and records software company in the SharePoint ecosystem, providing enterprise level records solutions to Fortune 500 companies.

Dwayne Sablatura

Vice President of Professional Services

Mr. Sablatura has spent the last 25 years leading and managing service organizations, delivering solutions and products to customers worldwide. He has built and directed teams through a number of organizational transformations.  Prior to joining Gimmal, Mr. Sablatura spent over 10 years at Cheniere Energy where he led a team that implemented commercial systems and procedures to start-up and commercialize LNG operations.  Mr. Sablatura also led a professional service organization at PROS where he managed a multi-disciplinary team to implement pricing software solutions for a wide variety of industries.

Mr. Sablatura holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a MBA in Finance from the University of Houston.  He serves on the Board of Directors for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
