ARMA

ARMA International is a not-for-profit professional association and the authority on managing records and information – paper and electronic.  The association was established in 1955. Its approximately 11,000 members include records managers, archivists, corporate librarians, imaging specialists, legal professionals, IT managers, consultants, and educators, all of whom work in a wide variety of industries including government, legal, healthcare, financial services, and petroleum in the United States, Canada, and 30-plus other countries. The association also develops and publishes standards and guidelines related to records management. It was a key contributor to the international records management standard, ISO-15489.

Gimmal team members are active at the international and local chapter levels of ARMA.  Our involvement includes ARMA standard development, leadership in the Fellows of ARMA International organization, and presenting sessions at local, regional, and international conferences.  We are pleased to have staff members who are certified by the Institute of Certified Records Management as CRMs (Certified Records Managers).

ESRI Petroleum User Group

ESRI Petroleum User Group

The ESRI Petroleum User Group serves the common interests of ESRI's petroleum industry clients. The PUG, as it is affectionately called, is a self-administered special interest group that holds an annual conference with over 1500 attendees. The PUG mission is to further the effective use of GIS in the petroleum industry.

Gimmal has a leadership role in this organization by collaborating with petroleum industry clients to provide feedback on ESRI’s development efforts.  As an ESRI business partner, we also find the PUG conference the best forum to connect with our GIS clients and prospects, learn about industry challenges, and share our best practices.

Houston Technology Center

Houston Technology Center

The Houston Technology Center (HTC), a non-profit corporation, is Greater Houston’s business accelerator and the largest technology business incubator in Texas. Accelerating the commercialization of emerging technology companies by providing in-depth business guidance, access to capital and service providers, and entrepreneurial education, HTC also promotes Houston as a leading technology city and serves as a hub for the local technology business community.

Gimmal Group is delighted to support HTC by contributing our ECM/RM implementation services to meet the objectives of HTC and the Texas Emerging Technology Fund’s Gulf Coast Regional Center of Innovation (GCRCIC).  We are a HTC client company graduate and stay actively engaged by serving on committees and through various sponsorship opportunities.
