Houston, Texas – March 29, 2011 – Brian Tuemmler, a director for Gimmal Group was selected by the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) to receive the 2011 Distinguished Service Award. One of only 10 recipients awarded, Brian was honored at AIIM’s annual awards ceremony during the AIIM info360 Expo and Conference on March 22, 2011 in Washington, D.C. The award recognizes professional members of AIIM whose outstanding service and dedication throughout the year helped advance the enterprise content management (ECM) industry.

Brian has been a part of AIIM local chapters and international events since 1997 as a chair or participant for many committees and groups.  He has spoken at several conferences, was part of the AIIM Accreditation Committee and Educational Advisory Board and has contributed greatly to AIIM’s certificate programs.

“Many of our staff spend their personal time contributing to our industry’s professional organizations and we are delighted to have Brian recognized for his efforts to educate and inform ECM professionals on addressing share drive content, a critical component of ECM programs,” said David Quackenbush, Gimmal President.

Brian has also dedicated much of his recent efforts toward developing a new discipline and practice around analyzing and migrating content on shared drives, both for in-place management as well as for cleanup prior to ECRM migration.  Brian has worked with all of the major Index and Classification Management (ICM) toolsets.
