Gimmal Group, Inc. ranks No. 1380 on the 2009 Inc. 5000 with three-year sales growth of 231%
NEW YORK, August 18, 2009 -- Inc. magazine today ranked Gimmal Group, Inc. No. 1380 on its third annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs. IT services continues as the field that just keeps on growing, claiming the No. 1 spot for the second year in a row with 658 companies, up from 467 in 2007.
“Savvy trend spotters and those who invest in private companies know that the Inc. 5000 is the best place to find out about young companies that are achieving success through a wide variety of unprecedented business models, as well as older private companies that are still expanding at an impressive rate,” said Inc. 5000 project manager Jim Melloan. “That’s why our list is so eagerly anticipated every year.”
Gimmal has evolved from a system integration company focused on implementing specific document management technology to one focused on helping companies address content and records management for the enterprise. The company is poised to help customers in the next development – information access and search. Since the founding of the company, clients have benefited from Gimmal’s deep experience, knowledge and best practices in bringing together key stakeholders, processes and technology to address content management and records management throughout the entire lifecycle.
“Gimmal is pleased to be named to the Inc5000 list for fourth year in a row. In addition to this year’s ranking of 1380, in 2008 and 2007 the company ranked No. 2495 and No. 2056 respectively on the Inc5000 list. The company was also honored to be No. 271 on the 2006 Inc500 list, which was a predecessor and is a prestigious subset of the current Inc5000 list. Our consistent growth shows that we address an ever present need to understand the lifecycle of documents, have consistent processes to manage documents, and easily search for and access content and records” said Gimmal President, David Quackenbush.
The 2009 Inc. 5000, unveiled on Inc.com, serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126 percent. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy.
